the independant use of the indivual parts of the building is guaranteed by separating the access routes for visitors, protagonists and service. the viewers arrive at the foyer that is level with the entrance from south east. here the vertical access to the tribune beginns. players enter the building from the south west. exclusive usage of th efoyer – the arena as a starting point for sports and leisure landscape offers its foyer that is embedded in the landscape to open air events.
the roof structure consits of a framework plane that spans between the four suspending towers. the top and bottom chord consist of continously connected beams. the ceilings constist of steel enforced concrete and semi-pre-cast parts.
the energetic concept plans to use the superb quality of the open air during the transitional periods and terrestrial energies. in summer and winter the outside air, used for ventilating the court, flows through recuperators unter the foyer to use the natural thermal properties of the ground.
